My passion for photography started with a D.S. My parents originally got it for me so I could play games on long car trips. As expected, I always made sure to bring it with me whenever we got in the car. What they didn’t expect was that instead of using it to play games, I would wait patiently with the camera app open staring at the window waiting for beautiful scenes to photograph.
With every photo taken my passion grew. In middle school I became fascinated with film and ended up teaching part of my photography class how to develop film in the dark room. In high school I started to do freelance work: family photos,, senior photos, engagements, newborn photos, graduations, and weddings took the majority of my free time. I loved it. .
When I got to college, my plan was to study marketing to grow my photography business, but unexpectedly, I fell in love with digital marketing. I was inspired by the challenge to use my creative skills to promote different brands, while telling stories that customers would connect with. My photography work at this time took a major shift from freelance work to working with brands as a creative for their marketing campaigns. I found it thrilling to get creative with products, projects, and people. Now that I am getting creative for digital marketing campaigns, I am consistently inspired. I’m no longer waiting by a window for the perfect moment. I can now work to create those beautiful moments for brands and people to connect with. Also, I have the coolest boyfriend in the world!
